HOLIDAYS/VACATIONS:
Celebrating Holidays offers many opportunities for fun, excitement and connection, and for meaningful learning about similarities and differences, important aspects of Southside Learning Center anti-bias approach. We have a rich variety of cultures in our community, and our families celebrate holidays in many different ways. Southside Learning Center will be closed on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veteran’s Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Friday After Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- Eid Days (TBD)
In addition to these holidays, Southside Learning Center will be closed for four days per year for staff in-service. Parents will be notified of these staff in-service dates at least one month in advance.
